China Chemical Guilin Engineering Corporation （ original name was Guilin Design & Research Institute of Rubber Industry, Ministry of Chemical Industry ） , one of the members of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation. It is a state-owned key business in the field of engineering design, engineering consultation, construction control, equipment development and turn-key contracting for rubber industry. CGEC gained Class-A Certificate of Engineering Design on Chemical industry, Class-A Certificate of Engineering Design on Building industry, Class-A Certificate of Turn-key Contracting, Class-A Certificate of Construction control issued by the National Construction Ministry; Class-A Certificate of Engineering Consultant issued by the National Planning Committee; and Professional Certificates on Medicine, Environmental protection and Project Cost Estimation etc.

        CGEC possesses of various specialities, including rubber process, rubber equipment, material transportation, architecture, structure, general layout, power supply and distribution, automatic control, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, heat supply, dynamic medium & industrial pipeline, water supply and drainage, environmental protection, fire protection, engineering economic & technical economic analysis, technical information, computer, foreign language translation and etc.

        Since its founding of over 40 years, CGEC has completed more than 500 engineering projects, involving not only rubber industry but also professional engineering such as civil building, urban utilities, medicine, tobacco, environmental protection ect. In recent years, CGEC has designing a lot of large-scale radial tire engineering, and obtained more than 50 excellent design prizes of national class, ministry class and provincial class. Among them, the project with annual capacity of 1.4 million radial tires for Shanghai Tire & Rubber Group Co. Ltd, won first prize of the National Excellent Engineering Design in 2000.

        CGEC has the following enterprises attached to it: Guilin Rubber Industry New Technology Development Industrial Corporation, Guilin Huasha Construction Supervision Co. Ltd. And Guilin Huafu Engineering Cost Estimation Consulting Co. Ltd. And one of them, Guilin Rubber Industry New Technology Development Industrial Corporation is a new high-tech enterprise that was authorized by China National Scientific and Technical Committee, professionally engages in research and development of rubber processing machinery.

        CGEC established an integrated and advanced management system, employing international common model for project management. CGEC passed accreditation of GB/T19001-ISO9001 Quality Assurance System in 1996, and passed accreditation of ISO9001: 2000 Quality Management Assurance System in 2002. CGEC accomplished computer network for its management, engineering design and technical development.
